About
Experience
I have experience with an extremely wide range of clients and concerns. I’ve worked with people in early recovery from substance abuse at a residential rehab. I’ve been a therapist at an outpatient clinic helping with issues of all kinds. I’ve worked with clients in severe crisis and I’ve worked with people who simply want to feel better than they do now–happier, more fulfilled. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCS25970).
Approach
What are you going through right now? What kind of help do you need? Over the first few sessions, I try to get a full picture of what’s going on, where you’ve been, and where you’d like to go, and to help you begin to feel better. I am trained in and work with both classic psychodynamic talk therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). A psychodynamic approach helps with increasing insight about long-standing interpersonal patterns and conflicts. CBT and its offspring, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), are more directive and task-based–extremely effective for quickly reducing symptoms of anxiety and depression.
Fees & Insurance
I accept all PPO insurance (please check with your insurance carrier first regarding out-of-network care).
Fees vary based on ability to pay. Please call to discuss.
